Vassilis Nikolopoulos

vassilisVassilis is the CEO and co-founder of Intelen Inc, a New York-based Software/Technology Company in the domain of utility energy analytics and consumer digital engagement with the use of advanced behavioral data science. He has global recognitions with his start-up, in top innovation and entrepreneurship contests (US Red herring global, SVASE Silicon Valley Launch, Siemens global smartgrid innovation award, OECD eco-innovation, CeBIT top cleantech, etc).

From 2005 to 2011, Vassilis has worked on technical trend forecasting methodologies and innovation management procedures, focusing on the Big Data problems applied to Utilities and the Energy Sector (Smart Grids). He has also worked for over 9 years in applied energy behavioural science, data analytics, algorithms and the application of social networks to change human behaviours towards a more sustainable way of living, especially in corporate environments. He applies some innovative data-driven behavioural science and mobile learning techniques over utility and meter data to identify behavioural trends that can raise the awareness of people inside commercial and educational buildings.

He is a valedictorian Electrical Engineer from Dundee University, Scotland with postgraduate studies at Imperial College, LSE, Cambridge, Ecole Polytechnique and a PhD from Technical University of Athens, focused on real-time big data decision making. He is the author of one book in Computer Networks, guest speaker at many conferences and events (ie TEDx) and has more than 50 publications in conferences, journals and technology papers. He has 2 patent pending applications (USPTO/PCT) on energy ICT related subjects, he is a mentor at the StartupBootamp accelerator and one of the top 100 Global mentors at the Founder Institute


Rosanna Kurrerunnamed

Rosanna is Cofounder and Digital Literacy Lead at the Digital Leadership Institute (DLII.org), a Brussels-based, international NGO whose mission is to bridge the gender gap and digital divide worldwide.  She is an Architectural Engineer by training and holds a Masters Degree in Building Physics from Kyoto University in Japan. Rosanna is an experienced CAD designer and cut her teeth on Fortran programming to model building heat-transfer. For the past several years, Rosanna has led development of innovative, hands-on curricula to promote uptake of digital skills, particularly among girls and women.  She regularly leads hands-on, fun and result-oriented workshops in the areas of computer programming, data visualisation, the Internet of Things, gaming, robotics, electronics and 3D design.

Rosanna is a certified MIT Master Trainer in Educational Mobile Computing, as well as EU Code Week ambassador.

She is a passionate design thinker and is trained to teach students, teachers and entrepreneurs the design thinking methodology, while building Android apps using the MIT App Inventor.


Hugo Sousa

14470730_10209245810615760_2146016817_nHugo is currently Digital Transformation Adviser to the Portuguese Secretary of State for Justice. Before he was Founder and CEO of ALPHAPPL (first Portuguese and Romanian startup in the “code-schools” business), Sales and Partnerships Manager at Gfi (European top player in the ICT field), CIO of Turismo de Portugal (National Tourism Authority) where he won several international awards.

He started as a consultant at Artur D. Little and right after co-created the first startup. With a strong mix of skills (entrepreneurship, digital transformation, sales, business unit management, project management, software development, infrastructures, service management) he combines more than 15 years of business transformation trough people, leadership, management and technology. He is also invited as a speaker (e.g. TEDx) and lecturer in Universities and corporate events.


Philippe Szombat

20 successful years international sales and management experience. He worked notably for  XEROX,  Hewlett- Packard, Unisys and  Oracle. He is one of the co-founders of TweetWall Pro. He shifted the go-to-market strategy and acted as a co-CEO and Chief Sales Executive, managing 6 account managers internationally. He brought onboard clients like GSMA (Mobile World Congress), The Voice Belgium, Europe1, NRJ, Biz Stone and even Obama.

Philippe founded BrightBiz Sales Academy  3 years ago and helped so far more than  100 startups like Sortlist, Betterstreet, Central App, Mardi.be and Betacowork, to professionalize their sales with top sales training courses and coaching sessions.


Michel Duchateau

Michel is an innovation coach fond of startups. Partner & Chief Innovation Officer at Convidencia, he supports organizations and entrepreneurs developing cooperation, agility, innovation and a sustainable performance. Actively involved in multiple startup communities, he animates hackathons and conferences on Agile and Lean. Michel collaborates with accelerators, incubators, business schools and public institutions in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. He is Facilitator at Startup Weekend, author of the Hackathon Canvas and co-author of ParticipAgile.
